What is a prerequisite course?

A prerequisite course is a preparatory course required to be completed prior to taking a course. When the latest transcript is submitted, the UHUB Admission team will evaluate the adequacy before granting the student the course. Prerequisite requirements are identified in the Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum documents.

On special circumstances, the principal may grant the waiving of the prerequisite requirement depending on the academic history provided.

Who is eligible for prerequisite waiver?

A mature student (over 18 years of age, or have been away from school for 10 consecutive months)

A student with similar courses in another province or country or has relevant courses in higher education.
